Working with St Modwen Properties this mixture of units ranging from 2,500sqft to 24,000sqft creates 130,000sqft of business park north of Bury Town Centre. East Staffordshire Council
Novus Solutions
The listed Burton Town Hall building was vacated by the council for 7 years whilst they rented office space elsewhere. As part of a spend to save strategy we proposed a refurbishment of the listed building, involving contemporary fishes and feature ceiling rafts. This was a traditional contract which I chaired meetings and administered the contract.

This office fit out project in Victoria Street, London, was the first office fit out I had run after assisting on 3 other similar projects. The fit out created a new reception area, meeting rooms and additional open plan office desks.
A further fit out of the 2nd floor followed in 2017 with Collins Construction.

Other works at the site included outdoor laser tag, a high ropes course, camping pods, café, and white water changing facilities.

Howard Town Mill, Glossop
Bowmer and Kirkland
This M&S Food building had planning approval on a sensitive site. I developed the Revit drawing package and oversaw the construction.
Pozzoni - 2011
Mellor Street, Rochdale
Seddon Construction
This retail development on a former factory site in Rochdale was for an equestrian sales company. The building helped to improve the area and gave housebuilders on neighboring site confidence to start building. I prepared all the drawings on this project and attended client and site meetings.
Durley Shopfitting Contractors - 2010
Training Counter, Leamington Spa
The work that I have been performing for this contractor had largely been carrying out a measured survey drawings. I have also been instrumental in bringing in further work by assisting in designing a new generation counter and producing an animation of the new trade counter at the head office in Leamington.
AFL Architects - 2010
Lancasterian School, Manchester
Cruden Construction
The project involved the refurbishment of a special educational needs school in 6 phases. I was the project architect for this Manchester BSF scheme from conception to the end of phase 1. I successfully achieved client sign off, planning approval, building control approval and secured funding for the project by producing various documents and presentations. Some careful remodeling has had a huge benefit for the staff and pupils.
CPMG Architects - 2008
Joint Service Centre, Bulwell
This LIFT project to centralise 8,500m2 of public services in Bulwell contains 2 GP practices, PCT services, a youth centre, sports facilities and council offices to name just a few. I have been involved after site selection and an initial feasibility study. I have developed the design with the project architect to achieve planning approval. I also dealt individually with several packages including minor works to the existing church and flood risk works.
CPMG Architects - 2008
Chesterfield College, Chesterfield, £18m
Prior to starting at CPMG, the practice had won a competition to masterplan the college site and design the engineering and construction building to stage C. I was involved with the project architect in design development to stage E. This involved many user workshops and coordination of numerous specialist pieces of equipment. I quickly learnt sketch up whilst on this project and produced several images and animations for the college and for planning.
University of Nottingham - 2007
Ilkley Moor Spa
This project spanned the entire final year and involved selecting and researching our own topic and site. I was interested in water therapy and in parallel I researched Ilkley Moor which has a history of hydrotherapy and a stunning natural beauty that had been devastated by fire. The selected site was fed by a spring which had been used as a drinking water destination for hydrotherapy patients. The spa projected over a man made reservoir and a natural mountain stream.
University of Nottingham - 2006
Dance School, Nottingham
This project involved the design of a performing arts faculty for the Djanogly City Academy into a former lace mill. The studio emphasis was on structures and conservation. I regarded the brick walls, cast iron columns and timber structure to be the essence of the building. Locating the dance studios in the existing roof space allowed much of the internal mill character to be retained. I received an end of year conservation award for this project.
University of Bath - 2004
Vertical Boatyard, Bathampton
This final project of the Bachelor degree explored the wider social and economic implications that an architectural insertion would have on the modern rural environment. The design was conceived from the notion of a need for canal moorings and also the continuous maintenance that is performed on canal boats. The industrial style of the design is reminiscent of the original purpose of canals. The design is a hub for services and facilities and also a social and visitor hub.
